    What is a Delmonico Steak?

If you’ve ever had a chance to visit the Delmonico restaurant in NYC, you probably already know that this steak is named after it. The Delmonico steak is known for its tenderness and rich flavor, making it a popular choice at high-end steakhouses.

While some say it’s just a fancy name for a ribeye steak, the cut is what makes it a Delmonico steak. It’s cut from the rib section of the cow where the loin primal and rib meet. It’s also a thicker cut steak (about 2 inches) and well marbled that can be cooked to perfection in the air fryer!

    • Allow steak to come to room temperature before seasoning to help it cook more evenly.
    • Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket – give each steak enough space so they can cook properly without steaming each other.
    • Pat steak dry with paper towels before seasoning to remove excess moisture for better browning.
    • Keep an eye on the internal temperature of the steak using a meat thermometer to ensure it reaches your desired level of doneness – whether you like it rare, medium-rare, or well-done.
