Steak Smothered in Mushrooms And Onions

That bit of tang that the Worcestershire sauce adds to the dish along with the sautéed mushrooms and onions brings out the flavor in the steak. I used a steakhouse seasoning to season the steaks before I cooked them but you could use another kind of seasoning if you prefer. We also served the steaks with cooked asparagus topped with butter and pepper for the perfect family dinner!

How to Sauté Mushrooms and Onions in Worcestershire Sauce

Season both sides of the steaks with steak seasoning and either cook on the grill or pan sear them.

In a skillet melt butter over medium heat. Add the onions, mushrooms and Worcestershire sauce to the skillet and sauté for about 10 minutes or until brown and tender. Remove skillet from heat.

Serve mushrooms and onions over steaks. Can also serve with asparagus as a side dish.

How do you cook asparagus?

Before you cook the asparagus make sure to thoroughly wash the stalks and cut off the ends. Bring a pan of water to a boil and place asparagus in the pot. Cook for about 5 minutes or until it becomes soft. Can season with salt and pepper and top with butter. Serve as a side dish.
