Tips for Hosting a Successful Taco Party

    • For easy clean up use a disposable plastic table cloth, plastic silverware, paper plates and bowls.
    • Can use small crockpots to keep meat fillings for tacos warm.
    • Offer a variety of fillings and toppings for your guests.
    • Keep the ingredients fresh by purchasing them close to the party date and preparing as early as the night before.
    • Make sure to have enough servings for the guests. I like to make about 5 pounds of meat for about 20 servings.
    • Don’t forget the sides dishes to pair with your tacos!

    Taco Bar Side Dishes

    • Mexican Rice: A classic accompaniment to any Mexican meal, fluffy and flavorful Mexican rice is a must-have on your taco bar menu.
    • Refried Beans: Creamy and rich refried beans can be served as a dip or as a filling for tacos.
    • Guacamole: This creamy avocado dip adds freshness and flavor to any taco combination.
    • Salsa Varieties: Offer an assortment of salsas such as chunky tomato salsa, spicy salsa verde, or tangy pineapple salsa for those who like their tacos with an extra kick.
    • Corn Salad: Light and refreshing corn salad with tomatoes, onions, cilantro, and lime juice is perfect for adding some color and crunch to your plate.
    • Chipotle Lime Coleslaw: Add some zesty flair by serving chipotle lime coleslaw as an alternative topping or side dish.
    • Black Bean Salad: A protein-packed black bean salad tossed in citrus dressing brings brightness and texture that complements well with tacos.
