This Orange Sherbet Margarita recipe is a fun twist on the classic margarita. It’s fruity, refreshing and perfect for a hot summer day. Serve it at your next pool party or BBQ and watch it become a crowd favorite!
I love margaritas in all variations but this Orange Sherbet Margarita is one of my favorites.
Unlike traditional margaritas, this variation has a smooth and creamy taste from the sherbet. The combination of tequila, triple sec, lime juice and orange sherbet creates the perfect balance of sweet and tangy flavors.
Radiating the vibrant hue of sunshine, this cocktail is perfect for the summer. And the best part? It only requires a few ingredients and can be whipped up in just a few minutes!

Orange Sherbet Margarita Ingredients
- Tequila: I used 1921 tequila cream for this recipe, but you can use your preferred brand or type. Just be sure to use a high-quality tequila for the best taste.
- Triple Sec: You can substitute it with Cointreau or any other orange-flavored liqueur.
- Orange Sherbet: If you can’t find orange sherbet, you can use any other fruit sorbet or even vanilla ice cream.
- Lime Juice: Freshly squeezed lime juice is a must for any margarita. It adds a tangy and tart flavor that balances out the sweetness from the sherbet. You can use fresh or store bought.
- Orange Slice for garnish: A simple orange slice is the perfect garnish for this orange margarita. It adds a pop of color and a hint of extra orange flavor.
