Ingredients
- Cinnamon rolls: I used Pillsbury Grands cinnamon rolls but you can use any brand or size you’d like.
- Icing: Use the icing that comes in the tube or you can make your own.
- Food coloring: I used one drop of red food coloring to get the pink color but you can use pink food coloring instead.
- Sprinkles: These are optional but make them more festive.
How to Form a Heart Shape with Store Bought Cinnamon Rolls
To start, preheat your oven according to the package instructions.
To form the heart shapes, gently unroll each cinnamon roll. Take the two ends and roll each of them until they meet together in the center. Pinch the bottom to make a point.
Place your heart-shaped cinnamon rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Make sure to leave enough space between each roll for them to expand as they bake.
Bake according to the package instructions until golden brown. Once they’re out of the oven, let them cool slightly before adding any frosting or toppings.
Add a drop of red food coloring or a few drops of pink food coloring to the icing in the tube and mix together.
Spread the icing on each cinnamon roll, top with sprinkles and enjoy.
