If you love the taste of french onion, you’re going to love this french onion chicken recipe!
French onion chicken is so good. It’s the best thing on my menu, along with chicken parmesan and my teriyaki salmon bowl (my fourth favorite…but I digress). I make this recipe at least twice a month if not more. It never gets old, and it’s absolutely amazing when paired with mashed potatoes and sauteéd green beans or asparagus.
Recipe Tips & Variations
- Can add breadcrumbs to chicken for more crunch.
- If you don’t have swiss cheese or don’t like it you can replace it with Gruyere cheese.
- Vidalia onions work great in this recipe but can also use sweet onions instead.
- Serve with potatoes, rice, egg noodles and/or cooked vegetables for a complete meal.
