    Chocolate Graduation Cap Ingredients

    • Peanut Butter Cups: I used Reese’s mini dark chocolate peanut butter cups for the base of the cap. You can use any brand or flavor of mini peanut butter cups that you prefer or a Rolo if there is a peanut allergy.
    • Chocolate Squares: I used Ghirardelli dark chocolate squares for the top of the cap. You can use any brand or flavor of chocolate squares that you prefer.
    • Chocolate Candies: M&M’s minis is what I used but you could also use a regular size M&M or Skittles.
    • Licorice: To make the tassel I used peel n pull Twizzlers but you could also use a fruit roll up or frosting to make the tassel.
    • Chocolate: Use melting chocolate or chocolate chips to melt to be the glue to hold the pieces together.

How to Make Chocolate Candy Graduation Caps

Unwrap all candies and set them up in groups so it’s easy to assemble.

Cut licorice into 3-4 inch pieces and pull apart 2 together at a time.

Melt chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.

melted chocolate on peanut butter cup

Flip the peanut butter cup over so the smaller side is facing up. Add some melted chocolate on top and place the chocolate square on top, flat side facing up.

licorice on top of chocolate square

For the tassel, attach the licorice strings to the top of the cap with melted chocolate.
