1 pound thick sliced bacon, cut into 1 inch pieces
1 large yellow onion, diced
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup maple syrup
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
