    This classic Tuna Noodle Casserole recipe is so simple to make and a good comfort meal that the whole family enjoys!

    Tuna Noodle Casserole

    Making tuna noodle casserole from scratch can easily be put together with just a few ingredients. Plus, you can customize it in so many ways to your liking such as adding breadcrumbs or crushed potato chops to the top, adding in more or different vegetables, seasonings and more. Serve it up with a side salad and some biscuits and dinner is ready!

    Best Noodles to Use

    Extra wide egg noodles are what we used for this recipe but you can use other kinds of noodles as well. Some more varieties of noodles to use would be penne, elbow macaroni, zoodles, rotini and more. The possibilities are endless!

    Recipe Tips & Variations

    • If you don’t want to add a topping such as breadcrumbs or potato chips you can omit it and the melted butter.
    • Want more of a crunch? Try adding crispy french fried onions on top and bake.
    • Make it spicy by adding some jalapeños to the mixture.
    • Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days. Reheat in the microwave until warm. If too dry, add a little bit of milk, heat and mix.

    Tuna Noodle Casserole Ingredients

    8 oz egg noodles, cooked
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    ½ can peas, drained (can add the whole can)
    2 cans tuna in water, drained
    ½ cup milk
    1 cup shredded cheese
    1 tbsp butter, melted
    1 cup bread crumbs

    How to Make Tuna Noodle Casserole

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

    Cook egg noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

    In a large bowl, mix together, drained tuna, drained peas, cream of mushroom soup, melted butter and milk. Then, add the cooked noodles and stir to combine.

    Grease a 9X13 pan and add the tuna and noodle mix to the pan. Sprinkle cheese on top and bake for 20 minutes.

    In a bowl mix melted butter and bread crumbs together. After 20 minutes are up on the casserole sprinkle the bread crumb mix on top and put back in the oven for another 5-10 minutes or until golden brown.

      How do you know how many points per serving or do you have to add up all the ingrediants
