Whether you’re hosting a party or just looking for a fun way to enjoy your favorite candy, these pink-themed jello shots are sure to be a hit.
Made with just a few simple ingredients, they’re easy to make and even more fun to eat.
Recipe Variations
- Use different types of alcohol. Vodka is the most popular choice, but rum, tequila, and even whisky work well.
- Switch up the flavors. While pink is a popular choice, I think the red would be good also with a red Starburst on top.
- Make layered Jello shots. If you want to get really creative, try layering jello shots. To do this, make two different types of jello with liquor. Add one layer to a cup, put in fridge to set for 2 hours. Then, repeat with other flavors.
What You’ll Need
- Starburst Pink Gelatin – Starburst makes their own All Pink Strawberry flavored gelatin.
- Pink Lemonade Vodka – My favorite brand is Pink Whitney. You can also use another brand like Smirnoff pink lemonade or even Svedka strawberry lemonade vodka.
- Starburst Pink Candies – No need to sort through the colors. Starburst makes an All Pink bag.
- Plastic Shot Glass Containers – The 2 ounce containers are what I used but you could also make them smaller in the 1 ounce containers or use syringes.
- Boiling Water
- Cold Water
How to Make Starburst Jello Shots
First, start by boiling the water. Once the water is boiling, add the Jello and stir until it’s completely dissolved.
Next, add the alcohol. The amount you’ll need will depend on how strong you want your Jello shots to be. Then add the cold water and stir till combined.
Pour the mixture into your 2 ounce plastic shot glass containers.
Place the Jello shots in the fridge and let them set for at least 2 hours. Once they’re firm, add an unwrapped Pink Starburst (strawberry flavored) candy on top. Add the lid to the top and serve chilled!
How to Store Jello Shots
Store any remaining leftovers in the fridge with the lids on for up to a week.
