TikTok got me hooked on this corn hack. After trying it once, I don’t think I’ll ever make corn another way again. The butter melts right into the corn while it bakes, then the garlic parmesan sauce takes it over the top.

This recipe is super versatile as it can be tossed on the grill for extra smoky flavor, or made in the air fryer when you need a quick side dish. No matter which method you cook it, it turns out juicy, buttery and packed with flavor every single time.

If you’re looking for more corn recipes, try my corn casserole or Mexican street corn.

    Recipe At A Glance

    • Skill Level: Easy
    • Prep Time: 5 minutes
    • Cook Time: 15-20 minutes
    • Method: Baked
    • Best For: BBQs, cookouts, summer parties and gathering

    Ingredients & Substitutions

    • Corn on the Cob: Fresh sweet corn works best. I like to break mine in half but you can use whole corn on the cob.
    • Butter: I recommend unsalted butter so you can control the salt level, but salted butter works too.
    • Garlic Parmesan Sauce: I used Buffalo Wild Wings Parmesan Garlic Sauce, but any creamy parmesan sauce will work. You could even use homemade garlic butter sauce if preferred.
    • Parmesan Cheese: Freshly grated parmesan melts and sticks best, but processed parmesan cheese works in a pinch.
    • Seasonings: Garlic powder, salt and pepper. Cajun or chili lime seasoning would also taste amazing.

How to Make Parmesan Garlic Corn on the Cob

Preheat oven to 350 ℉. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add the corn. Cook for about 5 minutes or until corn is tender.

    Air Fryer Instructions

Preheat air fryer to 375 ℉. Add the seasoned corn and cook for 10-12 minutes turning halfway through cooking. Brush with melted butter and garlic parmesan sauce during the last few minutes, then top with shredded parmesan cheese before serving.

    Grilling Instructions

Place corn directly on a preheated grill over medium heat. Season corn then grill for 10-15 minutes, turning every few minutes until lightly charred. Brush with butter and garlic parmesan sauce while grilling, then finish with parmesan cheese before serving.

    Recipe Variations

    • Add crumbled bacon for extra flavor.
    • Sprinkle with fresh parsley for color and freshness.
    • Add red pepper flakes or hot sauce for a spicy kick.
    • Use Mexican street corn seasoning in place of all-purpose seasoning.
    • Swap parmesan cheese for cotija cheese or shredded mozzarella.

    Recipe Tips

    • Don’t overcook the corn or it can dry out.
    • Brush the sauce while the corn is hot so it soaks in better.
    • Line your pan with foil for easier cleanup.
    • Fresh corn in season will give the sweetest flavor.
    • For extra cheesy corn, add more parmesan right before serving.

How to Store Corn on the Cob

Store leftover corn in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave, oven or air fryer until warmed through.
