    funfetti baked oats

Baked oats have been popular on TikTok for quite some time. Ever since I’ve made them my family request them all the time. I love experimenting with the flavors to switch it up every now and then. You really can get creative and have it any time of the day, not just for breakfast.

This baked oats recipe is a good source of fiber and nutrients to fuel your body and get you started for the day. Plus who doesn’t love cake flavored recipes? Try my double chocolate baked oats as well!

how to make funfetti baked oats

    What are baked oats?

If you have yet to try baked oats you have to! This recipe uses rolled oats, baking powder, banana, egg and some extracts.

Then you simply blend up this mixture, and then pour and bake. It offers a nice and hearty breakfast but reminds you of eating a cake. Give it a try and let me know what you think.

    Ingredients Needed For Baked Oats

    • Vanilla Extract and Cake Batter Extract – These two will give your oats an incredible flavor. No one will even suspect you are eating oats.
    • Rainbow Sprinkles – Jimmies are one of my favorite sprinkles to use for baking. Or you can reach for any colors or shapes that fit your preference.
    • Rolled Oats – Old fashioned rolled oats work great for this recipe. It adds in all the nutrients and helps create the perfect texture.
    • Salt – This will balance out all the flavors in the dish.
    • Baking Powder – Baking powder will help the oat mixture rise as it bakes.
    • Banana and Eggs – The wet ingredients that help give this oatmeal recipe the perfect sliceable texture.

How to Make Funfetti Baked Oats

Step One: Place all the ingredients in your blender. Then blend until it is combined.

Step Two: Next you will pour into your prepared baking dish and add sprinkles on top.

Step Three: Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Slice and serve warm.

    Storing Leftovers

Any leftovers you do not eat right away I recommend refrigerating until you are ready to eat. Store the oatmeal in an airtight container in the fridge for 4-5 days.

Then eat chilled or warm it up for a fresh out of the oven warmth. This is a great breakfast to meal prep with.

    Helpful Tips For Success

    • Make sure to use a high speed blender to get the mixture nice and blended. This is going to allow it to bake up for a denser cake-like texture.
    • Grease your pan so it does not stick.
    • Feel free to freeze any of the baked oats you don’t eat right away. They will freeze for 3-4 months. Then thaw in the fridge overnight or reheat from frozen.
    • Consider adding in some white chocolate chips for added sweetness to the baked oats.
    • Drizzle with a little syrup once done, and dive in.
