Your taste buds will thank you for trying these Caramel Pretzel Brownies. The brownie base is fudgy and warm, yet still crunchy from the pretzels sprinkled throughout; then topped with a layer of rich caramel sauce that’s hard to resist!
Caramel Pretzel Brownies are the perfect treat to make for family and friends, or just for yourself. The sweet and salty taste is irresistible with every bite. To save on time these are made using box brownie mix that you probably have in your pantry right now but you can also make them with homemade brownie mix.
The best part is that they are easy to make and clean up is a breeze. Mix up the batter, press into pan and voila – deliciously moist caramelizing layers await you. Top it off with a layer of vanilla ice cream and you have an irresistible dessert that will satisfy any sweet tooth!

Baking Tips
There are many different ways to make caramel pretzel brownies, but here are my top tips for making them perfectly every time!
- Make sure to line your baking pan with parchment paper and grease it well so the brownies do not stick when you try to take them out of the pan after they cool. You can use cooking spray or butter if necessary.
- For more sweetness, line the pan with caramel before adding in your brownie mix. This ensures they are evenly coated and have a smooth top when they are done baking, not to mention it gives them an extra sweet flavor!
- Don’t crush the pretzels! Instead break into small pieces.
- Try making your own homemade brownie mix if you have time, but these mixes from the store also work just as well!
Variations
- Caramel pecan brownies
- Chocolate covered pretzel brownie bites with chocolate ganache and sea salt topping
- Pretzel crust brownies (substitute crushed pretzels for graham crackers)
