Pudding Ingredients
- Chocolate pudding mix PLUS ingredients called for on the box – the amount of boxes will depend on how many you are serving. For my 9X13 pan I used 2 (3.5 oz.) instant pudding boxes.
- Chocolate cookie crumbs – Oreos are the best cookies to use and crush up to make it look like a dirt patch. Just be sure to remove the center filling. Or you can use store brand also.
- Pumpkin marshmallows or candies – for this recipe I used Brach’s Mellowcreme Pumpkins.
Frosting Ingredients
¼ cup butter, softened
1 to 1 ½ cups powdered icing sugar
1 to 2 Tablespoons milk
Green food coloring
How to Make Pumpkin Patch Pudding
In a large bowl add the pudding instant mix plus the ingredients called for on the box and mix together for about 2 minutes or until thicken.
Spoon the pudding into a 9X13 casserole dish or spoon into individual serving cups. Refrigerate the until just ready to serve.
When ready to consume, sprinkle the chocolate cookie crumbs overtop of the pudding and then garnish with the pumpkin candies or marshmallows.
In a medium-sized bowl, mix all of the frosting ingredients together for 2 minutes, adjusting to make the frosting stiffer with more powdered icing sugar or softer with more milk. Scoop into a piping bag fit with a small tip (or just make a small snip at the end).
Use the green frosting to add vines to the pumpkin patch and the little pumpkin candies.
Serve chilled.
Store any remaining leftovers in the fridge.
