    dirty q tips Halloween treats

It looks gross and realistic yet the kids will love it just like these Bloody Intestines Cinnamon Rolls that are also disgusting looking but oh so good. I think these would also make a great April Fools prank to play on the kids.

    Edible Earwax Q-Tips

It’s not everyday you get to make something disgusting that tastes good. I love going all out for a Halloween Party bringing the most gruesome, gross food that doesn’t look edible but it is. It’s always the talk of the party about what Halloween Party Food I’m bringing.

In previous years, I’ve brought stuff to make Vampire Ice Cream Floats for the kids and the supplies to make Hocus Pocus Inspired Amuck Cocktails for the adults. Both were a hit amongst the guests. I’m sure your guests are going to love these Dirty Q-tip treats that are totally edible and delicious.

If you like this gross Halloween recipe, try these eyeball cupcakes.

    Tips & Variations

    • Can use lollipop sticks or candy cigarettes in place of Pocky sticks or just another flavor of Pocky sticks.
    • Can use mini marshmallows for the ends instead of melted marshmallows.
    • If you don’t have caramel bits, you can dip in peanut butter.
    • If the marshmallows or caramel bits tend to not be as soft after a bit you can put back in the microwave for a few seconds to melt again.

    What You Need:

    Marshmallows (any size)
    Banana Pocky Sticks
Kraft Caramel Bits (Can also use Peanut Butter)
Cotton Swabs Box for Display (optional)

How to Make Dirty Earwax Q-Tips

Cut off the ends of the Pocky sticks to the length of a Q-tip. You can place a Q-tip up to it to measure it.

Lay a piece of parchment or wax paper on a tray.

Add some marshmallows to a microwave safe bowl and microwave for a few seconds at a time until melted. Be careful not to over cook and burn them.

Roll the ends of the Pocky sticks into the melted marshmallows till it looks like a Q-tip. Place the sticks onto the parchment or wax paper and place in freezer when all sticks are done for about 10-15 minutes.

They will still be a little sticky as marshmallow will not harden but once you add the melted caramel it will be less sticky.

In a bowl add some caramel bits and melt in few second increments stirring in between until creamy and smooth.

Carefully lift up the sticks off the paper (may need to use a knife to loosen them) trying not to break them. Dip each end of the dirty Q-tips into the melted caramel to make it look like earwax. Place back on the parchment or wax paper to allow to harden. Can place back in freezer to speed up the hardening process.

Serve on a platter with a Q-tips box for display and enjoy this gross disgusting Halloween treat!
