“Accio butterbeer!” That’s what your guests are going to say every time they visit you after having this spiked butterbeer!

    alcoholic butterbeer

If you’re a Harry Potter fanatic, I’m sure you’re aware of the delicious butterbeer that the trio enjoys every time they visit the Three Broomsticks. And, in case you’re not a fan, I bet you will be after trying this spiked butterbeer recipe, designed specifically for adults! (It’s alcoholic!)

If you’re looking for the toned-down version of butterbeer, the one served at Hogsmeade in Universal Studios, fit for young wizards and muggles, try this homemade non-alcoholic butterbeer recipe.

However, for wizards that have graduated from Hogwarts and are busy making careers at the Ministry, I have taken the recipe up a notch!

Here’s the spiked butterbeer recipe for you!

    Why We Love Spiked Butterbeer

Do you even need a reason to love spiked butterbeer?

    • It’s Delicious: The amazing combination of cream soda, apple cider, bourbon, and ginger beer, makes the spiked butterbeer an instant crowd-pleaser!
    • The Topping: Apart from the drink, the topping is to die for! The sweet vanilla and butter flavoring give the drink a mellow taste, making the guests want more.
    • It’s Quick and Easy to Make: You can whip up this butterbeer before you can finish saying “Butterbeer!” It’s a simple pour-and-mix recipe where you just have to pour everything into a pitcher, mix, and serve!

    Ingredients for Spiked Butterbeer Recipe

    • Cream soda: A sweet combination of vanilla, sugar, and water for a distinct woodsy and smoky taste.
    • Apple cider: To add a sweet yet tangy taste to the Butterbeer.
    • Bourbon: A delectable combination of vanilla and caramel, perfect for cocktails.
    • Ginger beer: After all the sweet vanilla flavor, you need something strong and spicy to balance everything.
    • Vanilla: For a topping as delicious as the beer itself!
    • Butter flavoring: It’s butterbeer, so we need that butterscotch flavor!
    • Whipped cream: A finishing touch to your butterbeer to which you can add toppings.
