These Reindeer Rice Krispie Treats are a fun Christmas treat to make with the kids and so easy to make with just a few ingredients!

    Reindeer Rice Krispie Treats

This is such a fun time of year for the kids between decorating fun treats to presents. We’ve always dedicated a day or two when our kids were little listening to Christmas music while we bake cookies and delicious treats. Then, we would set up a decorating station for each kid so they could decorate each treat. It’s always such a good time!

how to make Reindeer Rice Krispie Treats

For this recipe we used already made rice krispie treats to save on time but you can make homemade rice krispie treats. We also used a Wilton reindeer icing kit to decorate the treats with but if you don’t have any on hand you can substitute with pretzels for antlers, candy eyes, and a brown M&M or jellybean for the nose.

How to Make Reindeer Rice Krispie Treats

Using a double boiler, melt both bags of chocolate until creamy and smooth. If you don’t have a double boiler you can melt chocolate in microwave in 30 second increments stirring in between until creamy and smooth.

Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.

Once the chocolate is melted, place the rice krispie treat into the chocolate using a fork and flip it over until it is completely coated.

Carefully pick up the rice krispie treat and lightly tap the edge of the pot to get rid of the excess chocolate.

Place rice krispie treats onto the cookie sheet and allow to harden.

Using the icing decorating kit, decorate the reindeer however you want! Enjoy and have fun!
