Can you make Keto Hamburger Helper without the meat?
Yes, you can do that. It will basically be a cheesy cauliflower dish. Just follow the instructions the same way but omit the meat.
How many carbs are in Keto Hamburger Helper?
The carbs are mostly coming from the cauliflower in this recipe. This recipe has 6 servings in it which is about a cup per serving at 7 net carbs each.
Ingredients
1 head of cauliflower, cut into bite sized pieces
1 lb ground beef
2 tbsp butter (I like to use Kerrygold butter)
8 oz of cream cheese, cubed
1 cup heavy whipping cream
4 cups mild shredded cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
How to Make Keto Hamburger Helper
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Brown meat in large skillet on medium-high heat. Drain fat and set aside.
In a large pot, bring one inch of water to boil. Add the bite sized cauliflower pieces into water, cover and steam for about 5 minutes until they start to become tender. Drain excess water.
Using the same skillet where you browned the meat, melt butter, heavy whipping cream and cream cheese on medium heat and mix together. When it starts to boil add in the cauliflower and mix together. Allow to boil and then add in shredded cheese and mix together until melted.
Once everything is mixed together add the browned meat in the skillet and mix together. Place in an oven safe dish and bake uncovered for 30 minutes.
