I’m not sure a Halloween breakfast could be any cuter than these spider cinnamon rolls. The kids will go crazy when they see these on the table for breakfast.

And even easier to make especially for busy mornings right before school or weekend activities.

You can serve alone or with a side of fruit, bacon and scrambled eggs for a balanced breakfast!

Halloween Cinnamon Roll Ingredients & Substitutions

    • Cinnamon Rolls: I used store bought Pillsbury grand cinnamon rolls. You can make your own or use any brand of cinnamon rolls.
    • Frosting: I used black and orange frosting divided evenly. You can also add food coloring to icing.
    • Pretzels: Mini pretzel sticks are used to create the spider legs. I did four on each side.
    • Candy Eyes: These can be easily find online or in stores in the baking aisle. Any size candy eyes can be used.

How to Make Cinnamon Roll Spiders

cinnamon rolls in a pan with orange and black frosting

Preheat the oven and bake the cinnamon rolls according to the package instructions.

Once baked, remove the cinnamon rolls from the oven and let them cool slightly.

Insert 4 pretzel sticks to each side to resemble legs.

Spread the frosting (divide the black and orange frosting evenly) over the top of each roll.

Gently press candy eyes into the frosting and enjoy!

    Helpful Tips & Variations

    • Change the size with different size cinnamon rolls.
    • Try different colors for the icing.
    • Omit the pretzels as legs and add 1 or 3 candy eyes for monster cinnamon rolls.
    • Can drizzle the icing instead of spreading.
    • Grease the pan before baking to prevent from sticking.
    • Can also add food coloring to icing and spread on top.
