Spider Donuts are one of the easiest breakfasts to make during the Halloween season using premade donuts, candy eyes and icing. They’re so fun for kids to eat too!

I love making creepy, spooky and even a little gross food during Halloween, but I always balance it out with kid-friendly options like these Halloween spider donuts. They’re the perfect mix of cute and spooky.
This isn’t really a recipe but more of a fun tutorial. You can make the donuts from scratch, but I like to keeps things easy with store-bought ingredients.

These make a fantastic breakfast before the kids head off to school, a surprise after school snack or even a classroom party treat.

Ingredients
- Glazed donuts: Regular sized works best
- Donut holes: Chocolate for the spider body
- Icing: Black or brown for spider legs
- Candy eyes: Use the small size
How to Make Spider Donuts


- Line your counter or table with parchment paper and lay out the glazed donuts.
- Place one donut hole in the center of each glazed donut.
- Draw 8 spider legs (four on each side) with icing starting at the donut hole and ending at the edge of the glazed donut.
- Add two small dots of icing onto donut hole and add candy eyes.
- Allow icing to harden for a few minutes and enjoy.
Helpful Tips and Variations
- Swap cake donuts instead of glazed donuts.
- Use black licorice strings for legs instead of icing.
- Use different color icing for creative spiders (purple, green, orange).
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for 2 days.

What to Serve with Spider Donuts
- Serve with hot chocolate or witches brew.
