Witches Brew is the perfect punch for your next Halloween party! The berry-flavored fizzy Halloween drink made with Blue Gatorade, Sprite and Grenadine is fun and spooky!

    Witches Brew Drink

It’s Halloween time! One of my favorite times of the year where it gives us the perfect excuse to dress up as a witch, wizard, or whatever you want to dress up as. Then comes the spooky soirees and candy of course. I love passing out candy during a night of trick or treating just to check out the costumes but what I love most is entertaining on Halloween night.

How to Make Witches Brew Drink

This is the perfect party punch to get you in the mood for Halloween. Light and refreshing with a spooky effect of dry ice. You can make it non-alcoholic for the kids or add some alcohol in the mix for adults. I like to put it in a punch bowl with Halloween drinking glasses near by for all to enjoy at any time.

    Purple Witches Brew Drink

    Witches Brew Punch Variations

    • Make it bright green by using a green Gatorade, Sprite and pineapple juice.
    • For an orange color use orange soda.
    • To make it more creamy add in scoops of Sherbet.
    • Make it a cocktail with any kind of liquor you want or by adding in Vodka, Blue Curaco, Sprite, and Grenadine together.
    • For a cider drink try cranberry and apple Cider with a little bit of Orange.
    • Try a Witches Hot Chocolate using hot chocolate mix, milk, red hot candies and water.

    Ingredients

The key to making a Witches Brew Punch is to create the color purple. I found that using a blue, red and clear colored drink makes the right color purple. There are other variations (see above) as well for other color options.

    • Blue Gatorade – I used Cool Frost Gatorade flavor for this recipe. There are other blue flavors of Gatorade you can use as well. Or you can use a blue Hawaiian Punch. Depending on the flavor and how many people you are serving use one or two 32 oz. bottles.
    • Grenadine – This is a non-alcoholic syrup that has a sweet-tart flavor plus will help get that purple color. You don’t need to add a lot to the mix. Start out with one small capful and then add more if needed.
    • Sprite – This is the clear base to the drink and adds the fizzy part to the drink. Use an entire 2 liter bottle to the mix. If you don’t have sprite on hand, you can also use Sierra Mist or some clear fizzy drink.

How to Make Witches Brew Punch

Pour all ingredients into a large punch bowl and mix together.

Add a ladle to the punch bowl and gummy frogs and/or worms (optional) plus Halloween drinking glasses nearby for all to enjoy!

Can add dry ice for a spooky effect but wait until the dry ice has completely evaporated before you drink.
