Cherry Limeade Koolaid Pie

You can’t go wrong with cherry limeade pie, especially if you’ve got a sweet-tooth. It’s so easy to make with just a few ingredients. You can even make it in advance and store in the freezer, which is perfect when hosting a summer barbeque.

What is a Kool-Aid Pie?

Kool-Aid Pies are perfect for summer! This simple icebox pie requires no baking and made using Kool-Aid packets and a few other ingredients. They are easy to transport (so they’re great for parties), can be customizable with any Kool-Aid flavor packet and only take minutes to prepare. Trust us, this one is a crowd pleaser for picnics or potlucks!

Recipe Tips

  • Can make your own crust! You’ll need a good supply of graham crackers. The more finely you can process them, the better.
  • Try different kool-aid flavors. Leave out the lime juice and lime slices ingredients and swap out the cherry kool-aid for a different flavored pie. Some of my favorites are lemon, blue raspberry and strawberry.
  • If you don’t have lime juice on hand use cherry limeade kool-aid packet instead to get the same flavor.
  • If you don’t want it as sweet cut down on the amount of kool-aid packets. Try adding one packet at a time and mixing and then tasting. Add more to your liking.
  • Can substitute heavy whipping cream for an 8 ounce container of cool whip, thawed.
cherry limeade koolaid pie ingredients

Cherry Limeade Pie Ingredients

1 pint heavy whipping cream
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
4 (0.13 ounce) packets cherry kool-aid
1 cup key lime juice
1 lime, sliced into wedges
1 graham cracker pie crust, regular size

How to Make Cherry Limeade Kool-Aid Pie

Attach a whisk attachment to a stand mixer or hand mixer. Place heavy whipping cream in a bowl and mix for about 4 minutes on low speed. Adjust to higher speed once it thickens and mix for 2 more minutes. Once it becomes fluffy and resembles a whipped topping, then it’s ready. If using a hand mixer it may take longer.

Fold in the can of sweetened condensed milk. Then, fold in cherry kool-aid. Next, fold in key lime juice.

Pour pie mixture into the pie crust.

Garnish kool aid pie with lime slices

Slice lime into thin wedges. Garnish the pie with lime wedges all around the edge and a few in the middle. Place the plastic lid on top of container and press down all around the metal edging until secured. Freeze pie overnight.

Once frozen overnight cut with a warm knife and serve. Top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
