It’s been 15 years since we were first introduced to Shrek and frankly, we’ve never gotten ogre him! Relive the magic of Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, Lord Farquaad, and all the fairy-tale characters when DreamWorks Animation’s Shrek and the Shrek 4-Movie Collection arrive now on Digital HD and Blu-ray & DVD.
Last weekend we celebrated this Shrek 4-Movie Collection with a Swampathon consisting of a green-themed movie marathon with all 4 Shrek movies. Thanks to my friends at Fox Home Entertainment as they provided me with a variety of items to kick our movie marathon. We received “swampcorn”, Swamp Talk mugs, party games, Gingy cookie cutters, green face paint, and more.
To get our party started we played a game of pin the tail on the donkey. This was a fun family event and let’s just say that no one got the tail on the donkey. 🙂 After we finished playing games we got out the outdoor movie screen and projector. It was the perfect night where it cooled off just in time for the movie marathon to begin. We laid out blankets and pillow, got our “swampcorn”, Swamp Slushies, and ogre ears and the Shrek Swampathon was ready to go.
It has been awhile since we have seen all 4 movies and had a blast watching them over again. They are still hilarious and fun to watch. Don’t forget to pick up the Shrek 4-Movie Collection on Digital HD and Blu-ray & DVD available now in stores and online.
Swamp Slushies
Ingredients
- Shaved Ice
- Green Food Coloring
- Sprite
Directions
- Add ice and a few drops of green food coloring to a Ninja Blender (or another a similar blender that is powerful) and blend until ice is shaved.
- Scoop the shaved ice into a mug and pour sprite over top filling it up about halfway.
- Enjoy!
