Watch these Keto Hot Chocolate Bombs explode as you drop them in your hot milk for a fun surprise that’s only 1 gram of net carbs and a delicious treat!

    Keto Hot Chocolate Bombs

These hot cocoa bombs recently went viral all over TikTok but I’ve never seen a keto version of them. I decided to make one because a regular hot chocolate bomb recipe does not fit within keto diet macros.

These keto hot chocolate bombs are only 1 gram of net carbs without the hot almond milk. It will be more carbs once you add the hot milk but this is not a daily drink, just something to enjoy when you want a treat. They are an easy recipe to make ahead of time and store in the fridge to grab when you are craving a decadent hot chocolate drink.

    Hot Cocoa Bomb Tips

    • Don’t overcook the chocolate. Melt chocolate in microwave for 30 seconds at a time stirring in between until creamy and smooth.
    • Use a hot plate to seal the two chocolate spheres together to make a hot chocolate bomb. Reheat if necessary.
    • Smooth out any air bubbles in chocolate after placing it in silicone mold using the back of a spoon.
    • If you don’t have Lakanto drinking chocolate on hand you can make your own keto hot chocolate using unsweetened cocoa powder, erythritol, heavy cream and vanilla extract.
    • Keto marshmallows are zero net carbs whether you make them or buy them. Max Mallow makes a good keto marshmallow. They fit nicely inside the hot cocoa bombs when cut into pieces.
    • Make sure the chocolate it harden before proceeding to make the hot cocoa bombs.
    • If you don’t want any fingerprints on the chocolate bombs you can wear food safe gloves.
    • Make sure the milk is piping hot and allow the chocolate bomb to melt and cool down a bit before drinking.
    • To store, keep them in an airtight container in fridge to avoid melting.

    Lakanto drinking chocolate mix
    Choc Zero dark chocolate, melted
Keto marshmallows, cut into small pieces (can make your own or use Max Mallow 0 net carbs)

    Will Also Need

    Semi-sphere silicone mold
    Bowl
    Spoon
    Hot Almond milk
    Cup

How to Make Keto Hot Chocolate Bombs

Add Choc Zero chocolate baking chips to bowl and melt in microwave in 30 second increments stirring in between until creamy and smooth.

Fill the molds with melted chocolate making sure to only fill up the sides of the mold all the way to the top and keeping the inside hollow. Use the back of a spoon to guide the chocolate throughout the mold.

Place in the freezer for about 10-15 minutes or until they are easy to pop out. Very carefully remove the chocolate from the mold. If they don’t pop out easily, place back in freezer for a few more minutes.

Using one chocolate half, add the cocoa mix and some mini marshmallows on top. Heat a plate in the microwave for about 15 seconds, carefully taking it out cause the plate will be hot.

Take the other chocolate half and smooth and press the open part onto the hot plate for 45 -60 seconds to melt the chocolate and twist a bit to smooth the edges. Connect the two half pieces of chocolates together and seal together.

Decorate by drizzling the melted blue chocolate over top and allow to dry.
