While summer foods are tempting from the BBQ’s, vacation, fairs and more, it’s important to stay on track with Keto throughout the summer. I have some tips to help you stay focused and avoid getting out of ketosis, getting sick or gaining unwanted pounds.

Stay Active
Anything you can do to stay active for at least 20 minutes a day helps. Even if you walk your dog for 20 minutes that counts as a workout for the day.

Drink Water
Carry a water bottle with you everywhere you go and keep refilling throughout the day to stay hydrated. Drinking water will help curb the craving you have making it less likely to snack.

If you’re going out to eat, view the menu online ahead of time to get an idea of what to order. Most restaurants offer healthy options and may not be listed on their menu. You can always call ahead and ask what they offer.

Plan Ahead
Prepare snacks and food ahead of time for when you travel or visit friends and family. Find snacks that are easy to transport and Keto friendly. I like to carry Moon Cheese with me that comes in a variety of flavors such as Cheddar, Gouda, and Pepper Jack.

It’s my go-to snack in between races for my son and husband at the drag which is where I am most of the summer. It’s also convenient, does not require refrigeration and contains nothing but 100% cheese. Every variety is just 70 calories, 4-5 grams of protein and low carb which fits right into the Ketogenic diet.

Moon Cheese™ is the perfect on the go snack and available for purchase at select Target, Whole Foods, CVS, Starbucks, Wegman’s, Weis and REI stores and sells for #3.99-$4.99 a pack.
