Disney World Transportation Options
If you plan on staying at one of Disney World’s resorts to experience everything Disney, make sure you take advantage of the transportation that they provide to their theme parks. Many of these options won’t cost you anything. Here are different methods of transportation that will help you reach your destination without driving your car anywhere.
Monorail
Disney has 3 monorail systems that will transport you throughout the parks and surrounding Disney area. Make sure you do a little research on which one is best for you and your destination. If you are staying at some of Disney’s pricier resorts, you will have access to all 3 of them.
Bus Shuttles
Disney offers free busing to and from their theme parks and resorts that are very convenient for saving you parking fees and gas. This option is included if you are staying at one of their many Disney resorts. After a long day at the park and being super exhausted, not having to drive was a great benefit for our family.
Boats
The Polynesian Resort and Grand Floridian Resort will require using Disney’s boats and monorail to reach the Magic Kingdom. There are four different flag colors that determine where each of these boats are headed to help you determine which one is right for you. Here is more information on Disney Boats to determine if this transportation will be right for you.
Disney Skyliner
This fun option is now available and may be the most time-saving transportation of all. This transportation will get you to Disney Studios, Epcot, and to a number of their resorts including Art of Animation, Pop Century, Caribbean Beach, and Disney Riviera.
Minnie Vans
This transportation option is very similar to an Uber or taxi service. Minnie Vans will cost you $15 flat rate, and an additional $2.75 per mile. While this Disney option is not free, it’s much quicker than bus hopping to reach your destination. You can see up front how much a trip is going to cost you before these Minnie vans even show up.
These are several of Disney’s modes of transportation that each have their perks in getting from one destination to the next. When you stay or have stayed at one of Disney’s resorts, which transportation is suitable for your needs?
