    Homemade frosting for cinnamon rolls is so much better than a traditional icing glaze. It comes together in minutes and is one of those recipes you’ll make once and never go back to store bought again.

    This cream cheese frosting isn’t overly sweet, it has just the right balance of sweetness with a slight tang that pairs perfectly with warm cinnamon rolls. It’s also delicious on carrot cake, pumpkin bread, sugar cookies and muffins.

    • Whipped cream cheese
    • Powdered sugar
    • Vanilla
    • Heavy cream or whole milk

    How to Make Whipped Cream Cheese Frosting

    1. Add all ingredients to a large mixing bowl.
    2. Using an electric mix, beat until smooth, creamy and fully combined.
    3. The frosting should be thick and fluffy.
    4. If it’s too thin, add a little more powdered sugar and beat again until smooth.

    Store leftover frosting in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Let it sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes before using and give it a quick stir to soften.
