Make some spooky Black Glitter Slime this Halloween with the kids! It’s fun to play with that has specks of glitter perfect for Halloween party favors or decoration!
Everyone loves to play with slime. It’s just so fun and relaxing for kids and adults. Plus, it’s fun to make too! Last year we made this Orange and Black Halloween slime but this year we were wanted something creepier. For this slime tutorial we used black glitter glue but you could also use white glue, black acrylic paint and glitter to make if you didn’t have the glitter glue on hand.
To make this Halloween slime extra spooky is by adding it to a glass bottle that says something like potion or bug juice. It makes a great Halloween decoration for a party or at home. Or you can make small individual ones to hand out as Halloween party favors.
I would not recommend storing the slime after Halloween is over in the same bottle. Slime is usually only good for about 2 weeks after making. Dispose the slime from the bottle after 2 weeks and store the glass bottle for next.
This recipe does not require borax as some slime recipes do. If you prefer to use borax, you can mix 1 tbsp borax powder and 1 cup of warm water together. Stir until the borax is completely dissolved. Then, in a separate bowl, mix ½ cup of glue and ½ cup of water. Stir until the mixture is well combined (the mixture will be watery) and then add a few drops of color until you get the color you want. The non-borax recipe is below.
Black Glitter Slime Ingredients (non-borax)
1 cup liquid starch
½ cup Elmer’s Glitter Glue Black
1 bowl
1 spoon
Container to store slime in
How to Make Black Glitter Slime
Pour a ½ cup of Elmer’s Glitter Glue Black in a bowl. Add ½ cup of liquid starch to the bowl and stir.
Take the slime out of the bowl and knead for about 3-4 minutes or until it thickens. Scoop up the slime and begin to play!
If the consistency of the slime is not right you can add a little bit more of starch and knead the slime again. The more you play with the slime the less sticky it will be.
