These Bird’s Nest Cupcakes are great for Spring and Easter time. Not only are they fun to make but also fun to eat with the chick Peeps. If you didn’t want to use Peeps, you could use chocolate robin eggs found in the store. Enjoy!
Bird’s Nest Cupcakes
INGREDIENTS
- Eggs
- Vegetable oil
- White boxed cake mix
- White frosting
- Chocolate frosting
- Chick Peeps
- Green food coloring
- Cake decorator
1. Mix and bake cupcakes according to box directions.
2. Let the cupcakes cool.
3. While cooling mix green food coloring into white frosting and add to cake decorator.
4. Using the large star cake decorator tip, add dots around the edge of the cupcake to create a grass-like affect and then add a larger drop in the middle of the cupcake.
5. Wash out the cake decorator and add the chocolate frosting.
6. Using the small circle cake decorator tip make a continuous line around the middle of the cupcake forming a bird’s nest.
7. Add the chick Peep on top of the nest.
