Gather all of your laundry baskets and throw any loose articles into the baskets to sort out later. Find a spot to store them such as a closet, under the bed, basement, etc. so they are out of plain sight.
Straighten Up

Clear the Sink
Put all dirty dishes into the dishwasher and if there are any left over hand wash and put away.
