10 Colorful Foods & Drinks You Must Try at Pixar Fest

Now through September 3rd, you can experience Pixar Fest at Disneyland and California Adventure. This Pixar themed event is filled with delicious treats, drinks, attractions, Pixar Play Parade, Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular and so much more so be sure to try and experience as much as you can.

I just came back from Disneyland and wanted to share with you my experience at Pixar Fest. There’s a lot to cover while you visit but narrowed down some things that I got to see, do and taste. The colorful Pixar Fest treats look too cute to eat but you’ll definitely want to try them as they are in fact delicious.

10 Colorful Foods & Drinks You Must Try at Pixar Fest

Pixar Fest Celebration Cake
Layers of Lemon, Blue Vanilla, and Red Velvet Sponge Cakes with Raspberry Purée and Cream Cheese Frosting topped with a Chocolate Pixar Ball half-dome.

Cheeseburger Pizza
This is no ordinary slice of pizza. It consists of Ketchup, Yellow Mustard and Pizza Sauce on a Sesame-Seed crust with American and Cheddar Cheeses, Caramelized Onions, Diced Tomatoes and a Slider Patty, finished with a House-made Burger Sauce and Pickles. While I was unsure of trying it at first, I’m glad I did because it was amazing and tasted like a Big Mac. I highly suggest stopping by Alien Pizza Planet restaurant and picking up a slice to see for yourself.

Pineapple Churro
This churro tastes and smells like a pineapple. Add the marshmallow dip for some extra sweetness.

Monster Mint Shake
Mint Chip Shake with the colors of Sulley. Just look at that whipped cream drizzled with fun colors. Yum!

Alien Macarons
Cookie filled with lemon blackberry that leaves a tart taste in your mouth but not overpowering and white chocolate alien eyes.

Pixar Pier Parfait
Non-dairy lemon soft-serve with blue raspberry slush. I loved the mix of the lemon and blue raspberry together and it was a great way to cool off.

Mike Wazowski Rice Crispy Treat
Rice crispy treat dipped in green chocolate and decorated with candy and chocolates.

Color- Changing Noodle Salad
When you squeeze the lemon on the blue noddles, they will change to a purple color.

Grape Soda Cake Pop
Cake pop dipped in white chocolate and covered in purple sugar.

Blackberry Lime Parfait, inspired by Toy Story
Consists of three layers. The first layer is a spongey cake, the second layer is raspberry jam and then topped off with lime mousse and white chocolate alien eyes. This treat was my absolute favorite out of all of the ones I tried. It was light and airy and had a great taste to it.

Additional Pixar Fest Fun to Experience

Paint the Night Parade – filled with over 1 million bright lights of your favorite characters going through California Adventure.

New updates throughout the park – meet and greets with your favorite Pixar characters, live musical performances, new Pixar souvenirs, and much more. These new updates are throughout Disneyland and California Adventure parks.

Pixar Play Parade – daytime parade with new story elements of characters from Up, Inside Out, Incredibles and of course a feature with Luxo Jr. and the Pixar Lamp. This parade was super fun from the characters interacting with the crowd to the music that makes you just want to dance. Also, note that you will get slightly wet during the parade. They do make an announcement but I was so excited for the parade, I missed it.

Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular – shares a story from your favorite Pixar characters through a projection from multiple Disneyland Park locations along with a fireworks display. This was one of the most spectacular shows I’ve seen. I loved how they put all the Pixar films into one short story to music and fireworks. When watching this show make sure to watch in the air to the left and right as you may see a few things fly by.

Coming June 23, 2018, is the opening of Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure Park. They were still working on it when I was visiting but when it opens there will be an Incredicoaster, Pixar Pal-A-Round attractions, more food and beverages to try, Lamplight Lounge meet and greet with Edna Mode and more.

This is just a portion of what there is to see, do and taste at Pixar Fest. Find out more about Pixar Fest to get the most out of your experience and be sure to check it out before September 3rd!

And don’t forget to see Incredibles 2 on June 15th. This a great summer movie the whole family can enjoy. Stay tuned for my review of the movie.

ABOUT THE MOVIE

Everyone’s favorite family of superheroes is back in “Incredibles 2” – but this time Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is in the spotlight, leaving Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell) and Dash (voice of Huck Milner) to navigate the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life. It’s a tough transition for everyone, made tougher by the fact that the family is still unaware of baby Jack-Jack’s emerging superpowers. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) must find a way to work together again—which is easier said than done, even when they’re all Incredible.
