Storing
You are going to want to store your jello shots in the fridge. I recommend not adding the whipped cream on top until you are ready to serve up your shots. The whipped cream will break down after a bit.
Common Questions
Can jello shots be made ahead of time?
Jello shots can be made and stored in the fridge for 2-3 days in advance. Just don’t add the whipped topping and sprinkles on top until right before you can serve them up.
Do jello shots go in the fridge or freezer?
You will want to store your Jello shots in the fridge not the freezer. If you freeze jello it will alter the texture of the jello. Some people place shots in the freezer for 30 minutes to speed up the setting up. But if you allow it to stay in the freezer too long it can ruin your shots.
Can I double this recipe?
Yes, go ahead and make as many shots as you need. Feel free to make a large batch. I find placing the jello cups on a baking sheet with a rim helps to move the jello cups from living room to fridge.
