On our recent trip to Kalamazoo, MI we got the chance to check out the Air Zoo Museum next to the Airport. When you first walk in you will see a full size plane based on the new Disney Movie “Planes” hanging from the ceiling. As you ventured through to the display area, there were veteran’s waiting on bench offering free tours. I thought this was neat to see veteran’s talk about what they know and love.
We walked onto the main display area to see full-sized airplanes on display. They even had rides for kids to enjoy such as, Flight Simulators, Flying Circus Bi-Planes, and other rides. As you scroll further to the back you will find old veteran uniforms, guns, and other memorabilia.
They even have a space exhibit with part of a replica space ship and other fun space adventures to view. If you go outside to the back of the building, you can fly your own model airplane or take an airplane ride for an extra cost. There is an area with a picnic table to celebrate a birthday party for kids.
