    Holiday Cookies

Making the Peppermint Mocha Cookies from scratch is far better than buying pre-made dough or cookies that have already been baked and were sitting out in some store for weeks on end. With a few important baking ingredients, such as sweet cream butter, cocoa powder, peppermint extract, baking soda, and baking powder, you will have easily prepared these highly-rated, mouth-watering cookies.

In addition to the basic ingredients for the cookie dough, you will also need a few ingredients for the cookie coating and the chocolate ganache that you will use on the Peppermint Mocha Cookies to give them their great taste.

    Peppermint Mocha Cookies Variations

The Peppermint Mocha Cookies call for peppermint sprinkles that you would add on top of them to make them sweeter and enhance their appearance. However, you do not necessarily need to use peppermint sprinkles.

You can use any sprinkles that you would personally prefer to have on your cookies, including sugar sprinkles in holiday-themed colors, such as red and green. The chocolate ganache used on top of these cookies consists of traditional chocolate chips, but you can also use chocolate chips in all different kinds of flavors to create a custom taste for your Peppermint Mocha Cookie

    Peppermint Mocha Cookie Ingredients

1 C unsalted sweet cream butter, softened
    1 C sugar
½ C light brown sugar, packed

    2 ¾ C flour
    ½ C unsweetened cocoa powder
1 ½ tsp cream of tartar
    1 tsp baking soda
    ½ tsp baking powder
    ½ tsp kosher salt

    Coating Ingredients

    1 C of sugar

Using a small ice cream scooper, scoop out about 1 ½ tbsp of cookie dough. Roll into a ball in your hands. Coat cookie dough ball in the cinnamon sugar mixture. Place onto cookie tray.
