For this recipe I used, American Wagyu Tenderloin Pieces from Snake River Farms. They have the best meats online and sells a wide range to choose from even lesser known butcher’s cuts. They sent me an assortment of meats to try such as Filet Mignon, Sirloin, New York Steak, Ground Beef, Tenderloin Pieces and Steakhouse Petite Tenders. Everything was package nicely in the box that was fully insulated with dry ice and the meats came frozen in an insulated bag.
I can’t wait to try some more recipes with the other meats, another good excuse to use the outdoor grill while the weather is still nice. If you need help coming up with a recipe or tips they have a nice selection of recipes on their website and a cooking guide that comes in your package.
About Snake River Farms
Snake River Farms prepares some of the best-marbled beef around, which is why it’s no surprise that they won the Cattle Business of the Century award back in 1998. That distinctive Snake River flavor comes from combining Wagyu cattle with Angus; these cows get an unusually long time for their aging process to ensure delicate flavor and amazing taste. They are raised on a special diet consisting mostly of corn and barley, then specially processed by being dry aged for 35 days or more to create a uniquely robust cut that can rival any other steak in terms of tenderness and form.
