Reveal the news to friends and family in a fun way with these Gender Reveal Hot Cocoa Bombs filled with either pink or blue marshmallows!

    Gender Reveal Hot Cocoa Bombs

Gender Reveal Hot Cocoa Bombs are a fun way have a socially distanced zoom gender reveal or virtual baby shower with family and friends!

how to make Gender Reveal Hot Cocoa Bombs

Hot cocoa bombs are getting more and more creative all the time. I can see this being the new trend in 2021 compared to the hot cocoa bombs that started in 2020.

Each gender reveal cocoa bomb is sealed securely so no hints until the reveal.  It’s so easy to make with a pink and blue outer chocolate shell filled with hot cocoa mix and gender colored marshmallows. The fun part is watching everyone’s reaction when the cocoa bombs melt and explode before their eyes to reveal the best news ever.

Will it be a boy or a girl?

    Hot Cocoa Bomb Ingredients

    Pink candy melts, melted
    Blue candy melts, melted
    White candy melts, melted
Hot cocoa mix (I used white hot cocoa mix)
Pink or Blue marshmallows (depending on the gender of the baby)
Pink and Blue sprinkles (optional and also a choking hazard for small kids)

    Will Also Need

    XL Semi-sphere silicone mold
    Bowls
    Spoons
    Hot Milk
    Cup

How to Make Gender Reveal Hot Cocoa Bombs

Add blue candy melts to bowl and melt in microwave in 30 second increments stirring in between until creamy and smooth. Repeat with pink candy melts.

Fill the molds with blue melted chocolate on one side and pink melted chocolate on the other side. Make sure to only fill the sides of the mold all the way to the top and keeping the inside hollow. Use the back of a spoon to guide the chocolate throughout the mold.

Place in the fridge or freezer for about 5-10 minutes or until harden and easy to pop out. Very carefully remove the chocolate from the mold. If they don’t pop out easily, place back in the fridge or freezer for a few more minutes.

Using one chocolate half, add the cocoa mix and either pink or blue marshmallows on top for the gender reveal. Heat a plate in the microwave for about 45 seconds, carefully taking it out cause the plate will be hot.

Take the other chocolate half and smooth and press the open part onto the hot plate for a few seconds to melt the chocolate and twist a bit to smooth the edges. Connect the two half pieces of chocolates together and seal together.

Add white candy melts to bowl and melt in microwave in 30 second increments stirring in between until creamy and smooth. Place in a disposable piping bag or zip lock bag with the tip cut off.

    Gender Reveal Hot Chocolate Bombs

Pipe melted chocolate across the top of the hot cocoa bomb by moving back and forth. Add one big question mark in the middle and two smaller ones on each side of the bigger one.
