Tips for the Best Garlic Butter Skillet Chicken
- Use fresh garlic cloves instead of jarred minced garlic.
- Cook at medium heat (rather than high) because it prevents burning and sticking while still getting nice crispy browning on meat.
- For a spicier meal, add in some cayenne pepper or hot sauce.
- Don’t overcook the chicken because it will dry out and become tough. Cook until juices run clear when pierced with fork.
- Add liquid (sherry wine for flavor) to deglaze pan before adding garlic butter mixture.
