Dr. Seuss’s birthday is March 2nd and what better way to celebrate it with a good book of “Put Me In The Zoo” by Dr. Seuss and Put Me In The Zoo Cupcakes covered in spots. It’s fun and so easy to make!
Dr. Seuss Put Me In The Zoo Cupcakes
Ingredients
- Vanilla box Cupcake Mix (oil, eggs and water for box cake mix ingredients)
- 2 Tubs of Yellow Frosting
- 14 oz. Bag of Skittles
You will also need
- Large mixing bowl
- Hand/stand mixer
- Cupcake pans
- Cupcake liners
- Decorating bag
- Large star decorating tip (I used the Wilton Star Tip)
- Spoon
Directions
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and line 2 cupcake pans with cupcake liners.
Prepare your cake mix by mixing together the cake mix, oil and eggs as directed on the box.
Scoop out the batter into your cupcake liners, filling each cup so it’s halfway full.
Bake for 15 minutes and let the cupcakes cool.
Scoop the yellow frosting into a decorating bag with a star tip at the bottom of the bag.
Frost each cupcake starting from the center working your way out.
Top the cupcakes with skittles for spots.
