DIY Mustache Washi Tape Coasters
Materials Needed
-
4 plain white tiles – I bought mine at Home Depot for only $0.13 each!
-
Washi tape – I bought my super cute mix and match mustache washi tape at Hobby Lobby. Great selections and prices. **Stay away from a brand called Studio G. It doesn’t stick at all. It was only $1 a roll and you get what you pay for!
-
Clear coat spray to cover and protect your tiles. For my coasters I used Rust-oleum’s Ultra Cover Clear Gloss – about $4-$5 at major retailers.
Directions
After choosing your washi tape cut the first piece to be about 3” in length. Start at the very top of the tile and cover the top corner diagonally wrapping the tape ends behind the tile. Next measure the length of your washi tape against the tile, cut and evenly line it up against the first piece wrapping the ends around the back of the tile.
Repeat, alternating colors until the entire tile is covered.
Once your tiles are covered lay them on an old towel or sheet in a well ventilated area (I used our garage floor with ) and spray the clear gloss evenly over the tiles. Let them dry completely for several hours.
