The best thing about this recipe is that the prep time is only 5 minutes and all the work is done overnight with it soaking in the fridge for 8 hours. You can make several of these the night before for a quick grab and go breakfast in the morning for the whole family. Enjoy!

What kind of oats should I use to make overnight oats?
There are a variety of oats you can use to make overnight oats such as steel cut oats, rolled oats and quick oats. And you can use any kind of brand that you will like. Most of the time I use just store brand oats and they taste just as good as any other brand.
Place oats in a 16 oz glass mason jar.
Add the milk, maple syrup, applesauce and cinnamon.
Screw the lid on the jar and give it a shake. Place the jar in the refrigerator overnight.
When ready to eat the next day, give the jar a shake again to allow all of the ingredients to blend. Remove the lid and place chopped apples and pecans on top. Sprinkle on a little extra cinnamon if desired.
May be enjoyed cold or warm.
