This Beer Can Cake is fun for all occasions, not just birthdays! It’s unique, creative and makes a fun surprise for the beer lover in your life!

What do you do when your husband, wife, boyfriend or girlfriend doesn’t really like cake (but the family does) and loves beer instead? You make a beer can cake! It’s an easy DIY project using full beer cans and cupcakes (store bought or homemade). All you have to do is assemble it, add a few decorations and candles and that’s it.
I came up with this idea when my husband turned 51. Every time I baked a birthday cake, a few slices would get eaten and the rest would go to waste.
Instead of baking another traditional cake, I decided to try something new and that’s when the beer can cake was made.

When he walked in from work and saw it, the smile on his face was priceless. He absolutely loved it and I didn’t have to bake it.
You can easily customize it with any type of beer (as long as it’s cans), pair it with any cupcake flavor and decorate to fit any occasion; birthdays, Father’s Day, retirement parties, etc.
If you’re looking for a birthday gift, my DIY lottery basket or beef jerky bouquet are popular and inexpensive to make!
