Nowadays you don’t have to leave the house to get a good workout. They are so many more options to do at home right in your living room. Whether you have a small or large space these exercises are good to do while working up a sweat.
The newest movement-based title for Nintendo Switch just became available and is a great way to get personalized in-home full-body workouts. Nintendo sent me this game to check out and was so excited to dive into it right away. Not only was this game fun, it definitely worked up sweat while do so.
I love that you can customize the virtual trainers and jab and punch to some catchy tunes. They even make sure that you warm up before beginning which is so important and something that I forget to do before working out.
I love a good challenge and this game has that. You can choose your level of workout but if you’re really up for a challenge choose the “No Mercy” mode is available as a free download in the Nintendo eShop. Talk about an intense workout! You can easily burn 500 calories or more in 30 minutes depending on which workout you do. This game is definitely going to keep me motivation to achieve my goals and be doing this workout often.
If you like to dance this Nintendo Switch game is for you. There are 40 heart-pumping songs and customizable playlists, you and/or the entire family already know and can dance together while burning some calories. It’s a dance session in your living room that’s so much fun!
Nintendo sent me this game to check out and I put it in right after my workout session from Fitness Boxing 2. I started the dance session off with “Rain On Me” by Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande because I love that song and had a blast dancing to it. My kids heard me having so much fun that they joined in as well.
We were having so much fun that 30 minutes passed by with a blink of an eye. It’s addicting to play, a fun workout to do inside and great for family game night. As for dance moves, I may not have the best ones but I can see this game helping me perfect them while building up my confidence. By the time this pandemic is over I will be showing off those moves on the dance floor.
If you want to work up a sweat in a fun way, try Ring Fit Adventure. Explore different worlds while battling enemies using real life exercises. It’ so fun you don’t even realize you did a workout and burned a bunch of calories. What’s included with Ring Fit Adventure is the game, Ring-Con and Leg Strap accessories to help you move through the worlds such as running and jumping.
Depending on the HIIT workout that you choose, you may need a little bit more room or you can modify for a smaller space. YouTube has lots of HIIT exercises to do for free and you can get an intense workout in as little as 10 minutes if you are short on time or push it a little more for 45 minutes. Some equipment may be needed depending on workout.
All you need is a set of dumbbells and a mat for this workout. Choose the weight you feel comfortable with or if you don’t have any weights on hand use something such as milk jugs, canned goods, books or paint cans. You can make your own dumbbell workout as you go with a series of reps or follow a workout online. It’s an easy way to get some strength training in right from your living room.
While this exercise does not work up a sweat as much as the other ones. It’s a great way to end your workout session with some breathing exercises, with meditation and relaxation. You don’t need much room to do Yoga as all you need is a Yoga mat and a workout video that you can Google online.
