Slow Cooker Lemon Garlic Butter Chicken Thighs

- 6-8 boneless skinless chicken thighs
- ½ tsp salt and pepper optional
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- ½ tsp paprika
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- ½ stick butter
- Zest of half a lemon
- Juice of one lemon
- ⅓ cup chicken broth
- Fresh parsley and lemon slices for garnish optional
Place the chicken thighs into a 8 quart slow cooker.
In a small bowl combine the chicken broth, lemon juice and lemon zest and stir. Pour all over the chicken thighs.
In a separate bowl combine all the dry seasonings (Italian seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper). Mix together and sprinkle over top of the chicken thighs.
Add minced garlic along with slices of butter spread out over top.
Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
Garnish with chopped parsley and sliced lemons. (optional) enjoy!
- To Store: Place leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- To Freeze: Place in a freezer safe, airtight container in the freezer for up to 3 months. Thaw out in fridge overnight.
- To Reheat: Place on a microwave safe dish and heat to desired temperature.
