Prime Rib Roast Recipe

Ingredients

  • Prime Rib Roast 3-4 bone-in
  • ½ tbsp garlic powder
  • ½ tbsp onion powder
  • ½ tbsp pepper
  • ½ tbsp salt

Instructions

  • Remove the prime rib from the refrigerator 1-2 hours before cooking to bring to room temperature. Place on roasting rack fat side up and season with all seasonings.
  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees F and roast for 20 minutes. Reduce temperature to 300 degrees F and cook (about 20 minutes per pound) until internal temperature reaches 115 degrees for rare, 125 degrees for medium rare and 135 degrees for medium.
  • Remove from oven, tent with foil and let rest for 30 minutes before slicing.
