Ingredients

  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • Salt
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley finely chopped (optional)

Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil and generously salt it.
  • Cook the noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Before draining, reserve 1 cup of pasta water and set it aside.
  • Drain the noodles in a colander, then return the pot to the stove. Melt the butter over medium-low heat, then add the noodles back to the pot along with the reserved pasta water, grated Parmesan cheese, and pepper to taste.
  • Stir until well combined, then garnish with fresh parsley just before serving. Enjoy!
