Ingredients
1poundlean ground beef
1(15 ounces)can Manwich Original Sloppy Joe Sauce
1small onionfinely chopped
1small green bell pepperfinely chopped
2clovesgarlicminced
Salt and pepper to taste
1(8 slices)box frozen garlic Texas toast
1cupshredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese blendor more if desired
2tablespoonsfresh parsley, chopped(optional for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place Texas toast slices down butter side up and cook per directions on box.
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef, breaking it into small pieces as it cooks. Cook until it's no longer pink and is nicely browned. Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
Add the chopped onion, green bell pepper, and minced garlic to the skillet with the cooked beef. Cook for about 3-5 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
Stir in the can of Manwich Original Sloppy Joe Sauce. Mix well and let it simmer for about 5 minutes until the flavors meld and the mixture is heated through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Spoon the meat mixture on top of the prepare garlic toast and sprinkle cheese over top.
Bake for about 5-7 minutes or until cheese is melted.
