- 1 angel food cake cut into 1" cubes
- 2 lbs strawberries rinsed and sliced
- 1 large tub whipped topping
Prepare Cake - Cut cake into 1" cubes.
Prep Strawberries - Rinse, hull and slice.
Prepare Whipped Topping - Make your own or thaw out a large tub of cool whip.
Layer the Trifle - Follow the steps below to layer your trifle.
How to Layer a Trifle
Layer the base of your trifle with cake.
Add a layer of sliced strawberries, followed by a layer of whipped topping.
Add a layer of cake, then sliced strawberries, followed by a heaping layer of whipped topping.
Garnish with fresh strawberries.
Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Variations of a Trifle
- Try different fruits - raspberries, blackberries or blueberries would be delicious in a trifle.
