Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breasts frozen or fresh
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 8 oz cream cheese cubed
  • 30 oz chicken broth
  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp dried basil
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to crock pot. Cover and cook on high for 4-6 hours or low for 6-8 hours.
  • Shred chicken with 2 forks until finely shredded. 
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

If you want to save time you could cook chicken in an instant pot, shred and then add everything in a sauce pan to heat up. Or you can also use already cooked rotisserie chicken from the store.
