Salisbury Steak {Gluten Free}

Ingredients

Patty Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • cup gluten free bread crumbs may substitute with oats
  • 2 teaspoons ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire make sure it is gluten free
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder

Gravy Ingredients

  • 2 packets Gluten Free Brown Gravy Mix
  • 2 cups hot water
  • 1 teaspoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, add all the patty ingredients to a large bowl. Wash and clean hands with soap and use hands to combine the ingredients together in the bowl.
  • Divide the patty mixture into four balls and flatten into patties.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon avocado oil in a skillet on medium heat. Place the 4 patties in the skillet and cook patties until beef is no longer pink on either side. Adjust temperature to low heat once cooked.
  • In a bowl add the gravy ingredients and whisk to combine.
  • Pour the gravy mixture over the patties in the skillet and allow it to simmer. Add ¼ cup of additional water to the gravy if it becomes too thick, and stir. Serve warm over mashed potatoes if desired.
