For the Marinade
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 clove garlic pressed
- ½ tsp ground ginger
- ½ cup white wine
- ¼ tsp onion powder
- ¼ tsp season salt
For the Skewers
- 1 ½ pounds top sirloin steak cut into 1 ½ inch cubes
- 1 medium red onion cut into one inch pieces
- 1 large green peppers seeds removed and cut into one inch pieces
- 1 large yellow pepper seeds removed and cut into one inch pieces
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Wooden or metal skewers If using wooden, soak them in water for an hour before preparing and grilling
In a bowl whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ground ginger, white wine, onion powder, season salt and olive oil.
Pour the mixture into a gallon size resealable plastic bag and add the cubed steak. Seal the bag making sure all the air is out and work the marinade into steak. Place the bag in the fridge for 30 minutes - 1 hour. (marinate longer for more flavor)
Preheat an outdoor grill over high heat and lightly oil the grill grates.
Remove the steak from the bag and discard the remaining marinade. Prepare the skewers by threading beef, onions and peppers onto the skewers.
Brush skewers lightly with olive oil and place on grill. Cook for about 10-15 minutes flipping every few minutes until they are cooked to your liking.
